4.0 out of 5 stars Genuine Leather Belt, December 8, 2009

I thought it looked cheap in the photo, but it's genuine leather. The parts are sturdy and the stitching is good. I'm sure this belt will last me a long time.

My only issue with the main feature of this product is the zipper. Yes, you can conceal money in the secret pocket--which is of considerable size--but the huge bump in the back from the impression of the zipper protruding is a giveaway.

It's easy to reason that most people won't look at the back of your belt. But if you get held up in a smaller country and you wear your shirt tucked in your slacks or jeans, the huge impression of the zipper on the back of your belt might raise a greater curiosity.

This should be taken into consideration by the manufacturers or designers of the belt, since the concealment factor is the product's main feature.

5.0 out of 5 stars My second and still the best belt I've used. Easily store 50 bills w/o predrying., August 20, 2014

The best money belt/pouch I've used. The firm adjustable clasp is reassuringly secure around the waist. Holds 50 creased US notes and the leather expands with usage and can expand to 75 notes inconspicuously. Newly printed bills fit best, US money is recycled denim cotton and swells with moisture from circulation.

Butterknife creased bills work well, bills stored in dry rice for at least five days are optimum.

The box arrives with a California mandated warning about carcinogens used in treating leather (TCE) but it has an unintended benefit thwarting detection dogs. I have access to a police dept drug dog trained to smell narco and money and it failed to alert when the belt was zipped with medicinal grass and $50's.

Used for three years every day and still just as good as new, the heavy buckle and clasp is quality and has been fastened around laptop bags and waist w/o concern of loss.

Genuine leather instead of the cheap pleather of sub $20 belts designed just to sell instead of serve.

Complaints of broken zippers or rips are from novice overstuffing, evenly distributing your money end to end makes this belt worth every penny.

Avoid the temptation of storing gold coins since the edges ruin the seams and there's much better Eagle Creek RFID Blocker Money Belt DLX Tan Ec41176and various polyester web hiking belts better designed for soft precious metals.

Belt feels cheap, buckle bulges do to poor design (extra layer of thickness for no reason), adjustment clasp does not hold securely, moey pocket is very narrow will not hold US currency folded in half (lengthwise) folded into thirds makes it bulkier
